Elena Barbagelata was born in real estate - it’s in her blood. She has been a licensed agent for nearly 20 years. Her father, John, started Barbagelata & Company Realty in San Francisco over 60 years ago on the foundation of integrity and hard work. He always encouraged his eight children to follow his lead, which motivated Elena to start working in the family business at an early age. Soon, she learned the many aspects of the real estate business. As time went on, she realized how incredibly important it was to guide and advise people making one of life’s most important decisions: to buy or sell a home.
Not only does she love her native city of San Francisco, but she is also enamored with the uniqueness of Marin County as well. She has been fortunate to live many years in both San Francisco and Marin, which has allowed her to understand the uniqueness of the many neighborhoods each county encompasses. Elena has been involved in almost every facet of real estate from residential to commercial, and sales and leases. Along with her extensive experience as a sales agent, she has also owned various different properties around the Bay Area, remodeling and developing them for investment purposes.
Outside of Elena’s interest in Bay Area real estate, she has also traveled extensively. She lived in Europe and speaks both Italian and Spanish. While living in Italy, she taught English to working professionals and the Italian Air Force. When she returned to the United States, she worked as an event coordinator and also in public relations for local political organizations. Her experience teaching and working with the public gives her the ability to effectively deal with the most challenging of situations in her real estate career. By branching out and pursuing new career paths, all roads eventually led right back to her roots where she feels most firmly planted – real estate.

Elena currently lives in Ross in Marin County with her three children. Her hobbies include cooking, entertaining, skiing, and enjoying all that the North Bay and San Francisco have to offer.
